As part of the week dedicated to promoting maternal and child health, the Every Voice Counts Initiative (EVCI) held a vibrant community engagement event in Gasharu Cell, bringing together parents, caregivers, and local leaders in a shared mission: to nurture healthier families and stronger futures.
At the heart of the gathering was a powerful address from Mrs. Mukankaka Fabiola, Program Coordinator at EVCI, shared a message that resonated deeply:
“The health and well-being of our children is the heartbeat of every strong family. When we prioritize our children’s growth—physically, emotionally, and mentally—we are building not just healthy homes, but a healthier Rwanda.”

Mrs. Fabiola emphasized the crucial role parents play in shaping the future, urging them to take active steps in providing proper nutrition, timely medical care, emotional support, and safe environments for their little ones. She spoke not only as a leader but as a fellow mother and community member who understands the everyday challenges families face.
The event was filled with meaningful dialogue, shared stories, and practical guidance on early childhood care. It served as a reminder that investing in children’s health is not a luxury—it’s a necessity for sustainable development.
By the end of the gathering, parents left not just informed, but inspired—carrying with them a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to their children’s well-being.
At EVCI, we believe that every voice counts, and when families are strong, communities flourish. Together, with voices like Mrs. Fabiola’s leading the way, we are building a brighter, healthier Rwanda for generations to come.
